WHO AM I

An ACE Certified Personal Trainer since 1997, I started resistance training on the regular in 1984,  competed in bodybuilding in the late 90’s and olympic-style weightlifting in the 00’s and 10’s. I have trained clients ranging from 13 – 87 years old! It is my calling, my life’s purpose, to share the experience and knowledge that I have gained in my 40+ years of training myself and 28 years of training clients to help you become the best version of yourself and live your best life.

WHY AGE RESISTANT FITNESS?

Aging is inevitable. Pain, fatigue, frailty, and 'feeling old' are avoidable! Many of the so called 'affects of aging' can be attributed to inactivity, a sedentary lifestyle, poor dietary choices, and an apathetic attitude toward aging. I believe that as a drought-resistant plant can adapt to not only survive but thrive in a less than optimal environment, we can adapt and thrive despite the challenges that aging brings. It has been my experience that we can not only slow the progression of but often avoid age related changes through resistance training, an active lifestyle, and a healthy diet, and we can maintain a young spirit by adopting a positive attitude toward aging.

Optimal health at any age requires caring for your body, feeding your mind, and nurturing your soul, this becomes even more relevant as we age. My mission is to shatter stereotypes and prove that not only can we maintain but improve fitness and quality of life as we age, shifting the paradigm from stress and survival to vitality and youthfulness.
